Cookie Policy

We use two kinds of cookies and similar browser storage: essential ones that the site needs to work, and analytics ones that tell us which pages people read and where they leave.

Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept analytics in the cookie notice. If you choose Essential only, or ignore the notice, no analytics cookies are set. We do not use advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies.

These are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them.

• brks-cookie-consent-v2 (browser local storage). Remembers whether you accepted analytics, so we do not ask on every visit. Stays until you clear your browser storage. Never sent to us or to third parties.

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to count visits, see which pages are read, how long people stay and which device types they use. We use this only to improve the site. IP addresses are anonymised.

• _ga — distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_<ID> — keeps the state of a visit. Expires after 2 years.

Google may process this data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's privacy policy.

Essential storage is set on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

Analytics cookies are set only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.

Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to reopen the cookie notice and change your choice. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time.

If we add other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and the cookie notice, and ask for your consent again before setting them.
